- Let me introduce myself. My name is Joe Gallo, president and founder of Plantscape Designs, Inc. (PDI). In 1972, I created PDI as a way to supplement my personal income as a high school teacher. Having studied biology, botany and ecology in obtaining my BA & Masters degrees, I was able to apply my knowledge of plants to help further enhance the esthetics of offices and building lobbies as well as augment the health aspects of interior workplaces by using live green plants. As the years passed, not only did PDI grow in number of new clients and staff members, but also the need for environmentally safe workplace interiors became more of a consumer demand. PDI, since its inception, has emphasized the importance of proper care of plants in business environments. I have found that a staff of caring and knowledgeable technicians, visiting once a week to care for the plants, results in a more beautiful environment. The plants remain healthier, enabling them to do the job of cleaning the air of toxins which are emitted into every office environment. We take great pride in making your workplace a healthier, safer and more beautiful place to be every day.
